The New SLK-Class

A sustainable character.

Powerful diesel engines have a long tradition at Mercedes-Benz. The new SLK 250 CDI is continuing this tradition by proving to impressive effect that diesel engines and sports cars are not mutually exclusive. The four-cylinder diesel engine in the Roadster produces 150 kW (204 hp) and gives the two-seater exceptional sportiness.
Thanks to its enormous torque of 500 Nm, it accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, and ensures effortlessly superior driving pleasure not only on winding rural roads but also on long motorway stretches.

Fuel consumption (combined): 5.0 - 4.9 l/100 km;
CO2 emissions (combined): 132 - 128 g/km*
At the same time, with a diesel consumption of 4.9 litres, the SLK 250 CDI is the most economical and also the most environmentally-friendly Roadster in its class.
In addition to top marks when it comes to efficient sustainability, it also combines the typically sporty SLK character with high-quality appointments and excellent levels of comfort.

The most powerful diesel powerplant in its class.

The most powerful diesel powerplant in its class propels the Roadster to maximum levels of sporty performance. Besides impressive acceleration from a standstill, the SLK 250 CDI also boasts the best figures in its class in terms of flexibility. The modern engine in the SLK 250 CDI benefits from some innovative technologies, including two-stage turbocharging, the latest generation common-rail technology and the ECO start/stop system, which is fitted as standard to all SLK models.
The low consumption and impressive smoothness for a diesel unit make the SLK 250 CDI a car with superior long-distance qualities. Anyone wishing to do so could drive it non-stop from the North Sea all the way to the Mediterranean – to top up on sunshine there with the roof down.

An open-air experience whatever the weather.

But even with the top down, the SLK 250 CDI provides a very special kind of driving experience. Three different versions of the vario-roof are available – one of them the panoramic vario-roof with MAGIC SKY CONTROL. This roof can be switched from light to dark at the touch of a button. It can be either almost completely see-though, providing an open-air driving experience even in cold weather; or darkened to cast a welcome shadow, preventing the intense heat of the sun from warming up the interior. Different versions of the suspension are also available: the electronically controlled, fully automatic damping system in particular provides for agile, easy-to-control handling.
It forms part of the optional Dynamic Handling package, which also includes the Direct-Steer system and the Torque Vectoring Brake developed by Mercedes-Benz. The SLK 250 CDI combines light-footed driving dynamics with long-distance comfort, a striking sports car design with absolute suitability for everyday use, and top performance with exemplary ecology. In the end, being economical doesn't have to mean compromising on fun.

The New SL-Class

Open-air.The new SL: athlete, aesthete.
Out and about in Marbella
with the new Mercedes-Benz
SL 500 BlueEFFICIENCY.

Committed to tradition.

On the Costa del Sol, it's still cool in the early morning as the first rays of sunshine immerse the Andalusian mountains in a warm light, whilst the entrance to the traditional Marbella Club still sits in the shade. One's heart quickly warms upon the arrival on centre stage of the latest offspring from the automotive dynasty with its 60 years of history. The design of the new SL draws all the attention – it is now more marked and sharper. But the SL hasn't lost its elegance and charisma – it is and will remain an aesthete. As no other before it, the SL offers a unique combination of sportiness and comfort.
From the very moment we comfortably get into this "Silver Arrow" with its optional designo magno crystal silver finish, we really get an appreciation of this.

Fuel consumption (combined): 9.2-9.1 l/100 km;
CO2 emissions (combined): 214-212 g/km*

Get in and feel good.

Awaiting you in the modern cockpit, with its lovingly created details, is a plethora of new features such as the latest version of COMAND Online with internet connectivity. Its operation is pleasant and intuitive right from the outset. The concept has proved itself even as a two-seater: the SL scores points with its many useful stowage compartments and with its well thought out, detailed solutions for everyday use. The quality of the materials and the level of craftsmanship are highly impressive. The fine leather is a pleasure for all of the senses. Thanks to a newly developed coating, it reflects the sun's rays and therefore doesn't heat up as much. Additional cooling is provided by the seat ventilation, whilst the seat heating takes care of our early morning start and the innovative AIRSCARF impresses with its heating of the area around the head. In the liberally sized mutlicontour seats with their multiple electrical adjustment and their massage function, a feeling of well-being and security is instantaneous.

Impressive in every detail.

A world first is the Frontbass system, fitted as standard. Particularly in combination with the optionally available surround sound systems from Harman Kardon® or Bang&Olufsen, it offers a concert hall atmosphere and powerful bass tones even when driving with the roof down. This is made possible by the low tones being generated in the driver's and passenger's footwell in a specially constructed hollow area of the new and innovative aluminium bodyshell. This not only improves the sound characteristics, but also increases the space available for stowage compartments in the doors and for luggage in the practical boot. Now there's nothing standing in the way of a long journey! Typical Mercedes-Benz is the range of extremely modern assistance and safety systems which further increase the level of luxury and actively help avoid danger.

Cultivated sportiness.

On one of the winding snakes we climb to the surrounding countryside of Marbella. In the finest of weather, the area above all of the golf courses allows us not only to experience panoramic views of Gibraltar but also to feel the real sprinting characteristics and pulling power of the SL 500. It quickly becomes clear that with 320 kW (435 hp) and 700 Nm of torque, it offers the right amount of power for all circumstances and, of course, the two tailpipes of the exhaust system ensure that the appropriate melody is on hand for the duration.

New standards of driving dynamics.

In fewer than five seconds, the Roadster rapidly sprints from a standstill to 100 km/h. Fade-resistant brakes and a chassis with electronically adjustable damping as standard, as well as the optionally available Active Body Control are all perfectly adapted to the vehicle's power.
Thus the SL is sleek and, together with the new electromechanical direct steering, is more impressive in active driving situations than its predecessor, without giving up its already legendary driving comfort.

Light-weight construction without compromise

The secret behind the new sportiness of the SL is light-weight aluminium: the Roadster weighs in at up to 140 kg less than the predecessor and the aluminium chassis simultaneously provides a higher torsional stiffness. The aluminium chassis also offers advantages in all things comfort, safety and efficiency. The lower weight and the ECO start/stop function both contribute to the reduction of the average consumption. During our test drives, this value was lower than nine litres per 100 km.
To round off the day, the eight-cylinder engine glides us at low revs along the coast toward Puerto Banús. The competition in the yacht-filled port is not to be underestimated, but the new SL steals the show and stands proudly in the middle of
everyone's attention. "What's it like to drive?" ask passers-by inquisitively – the answer is simple yet somehow so difficult to sum up in just a few words.

Our conclusion.

With the new SL, Mercedes-Benz has arrived at the perfect symbiosis of comfort and sportiness. No other roadster allows such enjoyment and relaxation when gliding to your destination. The SL also has other capacities: it is better adapted to dynamic and active driving situation
than ever before, whilst consuming less fuel and offering the highest possible standards of safety and quality. Time and time again, the SL unites all the best features.

The seven-speed automatic transmission has new bearings and couplings, works with different oil pressures and a new low-friction oil.
New materials and colour combinations, meanwhile, make for a classic, bright interior which seems even more spacious when fitted with the optional panoramic glass sunroof. The R-Class is proof that versatility and value are not mutually exclusive.

The new M-Class

The M-Class sets new standards in the world of the SUV

Refinement meets efficiency.

The third generation of the M-Class incorporates the best qualities from a variety of vehicle classes. It is comfortable and luxurious like a saloon, and at the same time emotionally-appealing and highly capable off the road like an SUV. On top

of this, the all-wheel drive vehicle is particularly economical. The outstanding energy efficiency comes courtesy of its state-of-the-art engine range, comprehensive BlueEFFICIENCY measures as well as best-in-class aerodynamics.

Fuel consumption (combined): 8.8 - 6.0 l/100 km;
CO2 emissions (combined): 206 - 158 g/km*

Long-distance champion: a high level of efficiency ensures a long range.

A particular characteristic of the new M-Class is somewhat surprising for a spacious off-road vehicle: low fuel consumption. On average the new models consume 25 percent less fuel than their predecessors. One true champion in terms of fuel consumption is the ML 250 BlueTEC 4MATIC fitted with the economical four-cylinder engine, familiar from the S-Class, which gets by on just 6.0 l/100 km and achieves a range of up to 1500 km on just a single tank of fuel.
Thanks to emission control with SCR technology, this model, like the ML 350 BlueTEC 4MATIC, meets the EU6 standard due to be introduced from 2014.
The ML 350 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY petrol model, meanwhile, delivers a convincing performance with the new BlueDIRECT direct petrol injection, achieving a low consumption of 8.5 l/100 km while meeting the requirements of the EU5 emissions standard, currently the strictest in force for petrol models. Besides the state-of-the-art engine technology, the economy of the vehicle is underpinned by a comprehensive package of BlueEFFICIENCY measures.
In addition to the ECO start/stop function that comes as standard, these measures include the new seven-speed 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission, electric steering and tyres with low rolling resistance. The intelligent lightweight design and aerodynamics boasting the best drag coefficient in this class as a result of wind tunnel testing, not only contribute to the vehicle's outstanding life cycle assessment, but also improve its handling characteristics – both on and off the road.

The New GLK-Class

Made for
mountains.

A maze of houses, a labyrinth of streets and heavy traffic. The GLK manages to keep a cool head here on a daily basis. In the French Alps, however, the character type shows that it has much more to offer than just that. Idyllic mountain villages, tight mountain passes and snow-covered peaks stretching far into the azure blue sky are a real contrast to the otherwise hectic daily grind.
The intricate roads through the French Alps offer the perfect backdrop for the presentation of the new GLK. Here, the compact SUV can really demonstrate its qualities both on and off-road.

Consumption, combined: 8.6-5.5 l/100 km; CO2 emissions, combined: 199-143 g/km*

The first impression is what counts.

True character types polarise. The GLK truly impresses with its striking front section. The new headlamps and daytime running lamps with their very own dynamism also make a good first impression. Even the steep rear end with its short overhang and new LED tail lights create amazement from the offset. A further optical highlight comes in the form of the pronounced wheel arches which skilfully take up the pithy design idiom of both the front and the rear. This puts the GLK on a clearly raised pedestal in comparison to other SUVs. Its strong and expressive lines underline its very individual character. Even at a standstill, it is clear that the GLK wants to show what it is made of.

Quality and character.

On getting into the GLK, the first thing you will notice is that the selector lever of the 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission has been moved from the centre console to the steering wheel. The resulting stowage compartment is a particularly practical additional solution. All 4MATIC models are equipped with 7G-TRONIC as standard. The newly designed interior with the new instrument cluster, three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and round air vents has charm and sets new standards in terms of quality and character. But that's not all: connectivity also takes pride of place in the GLK thanks to COMAND Online and its integrated web browser. With the leather appointments and wooden or, depending on the equipment line, brushed aluminium trim elements, the GLK is much more stylish than your average desk.
And another thing's for sure: the GLK is definitely more fun as Mercedes-Benz has managed to juggle business, lifestyle and sporty requirements, particularly in off-road terrain.

Trailblazer.

The GLK masters the tight Alpine curves of Savoie with immense feeling whilst at the same time being great fun. On the demanding climbs and winding descents, the GLK certainly feels at home. A deluge of rain and heavy hail briefly turns the 2000-metre-high tight downhill stretches into a white piste.
This doesn't appear to bother the GLK though, as it calmly pushes its way through the storm. It's almost as if it can't wait to reach the up-coming off-road stage.

In its element.

Off the beaten track, the GLK really shows what it's made of. 30 mm of additional ground clearance demonstrate their true potential. Deep mud puddles are no problem and the same goes for twisted tracks or massive flagstones. Even with the right-hand rear wheel hovering half a metre above the ground and the left-hand front wheel having almost no contact with the ground, the GLK gives its driver a clear signal: it can handle more. You don't have to worry for a single second before the compact SUV is again firmly gripping the ground. The GLK even masters steep rock formations with effortless elegance. Extremely useful is the Downhill Speed Regulation (DSR), which offers a level of safety which is second to none with the help of the brakes and the intervention of the differential.

Good genes.

The GLK, with its excellent off-road capabilities, does the other Mercedes-Benz off-roaders proud. At the very latest, during a detour in difficult terrain, the GLK makes it clear that it quite rightly bears the letter G of its great granddad, the legendary G-Class. However, the GLK doesn't just rest on these laurels. With a self-evident level of safety, the GLK not only carries its occupants through the urban jungle but it also patiently lays down kilometre after kilometre on main roads and motorways. The GLK is also just as agile over hill and dale where others would simply give up. Here, the GLK feels on top of the world and you can really see this in its performance.

The new Mercedes-Benz GL

The first encounter.

It is early one morning as the sun eases its way through the clouds over the Italian Alps, the temperature still only just above freezing. By contrast, mountain biking legend Hans Rey has warm words for the new Mercedes-Benz GL when he encounters it for the first time.
"There are really great, innovative details in the GL like the rear seats which fold flat at the touch of a button and seats and cup holders with in-built cooling and heating that any outdoor enthusiast would appreciate."
The multiple Trials world champion and member of the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame can hardly wait to start the spacious seven-seater vehicle and enjoy what looks like a promising day. Time to load the bike and get moving!
As soon as they get underway, the GL is able to demonstrate its credentials as a true off-roader. Thanks to 4MATIC all-wheel drive as standard with Start-off Assist and Downhill Speed Regulation (DSR), together with the optional ON&OFFROAD package, this S-Class of SUVs effortlessly handles steep gradients on rough terrain. Like Hans "No Way" Rey, this Mercedes-Benz seems to have virtually no limits.

Outstanding in all conditions.

Despite the demanding route, the GL with its comfortable AIRMATIC ADS air suspension featuring the adaptive damping system makes it easy for Hans Rey to relax during the drive. Born in the Black Forest in 1966, this cosmopolitan sportsman now holds Swiss and US citizenship and is happy to talk about the early stages of his unique career: "For me, it all started at the bike trial in Germany. When I went to America in 1987, mountain biking was just getting established as a sport. I could never have imagined then that I would spend the next 25 years as a professional biker and travel to 70 countries." Hans Rey regularly undertakes bike tours with athlete friends and celebrities like John McEnroe in remote regions such as Peru, Nepal and Tanzania.
"I love the adventure and learning about other cultures. A bike opens doors, hearts and friendships all over the world because nearly everyone can relate to a bicycle. For me, the bike is the means to an end: fun, sport – and maybe even doing some good along the way."

The New G-Class

The new G-Class is more powerful and better than ever.

Exceptional Evolution.

In 2012 the G-Class is presenting itself once again in a considerably enhanced form, reinforcing its top position amongst off-road vehicles. It was first designed in 1979, originally specifically for tough off-road use, and has experienced an astonishing evolution.
This off-road specialist was first designed for practicality and austerity, and in the course of thirty-three years, Mercedes-Benz has refined it, giving it a high-class interior and the road-holding qualities of a premium saloon made in Stuttgart. Today the G-Class is viewed as the top model of luxury off-road vehicles, and has been used as the generic basis for the other successful Mercedes-Benz SUVs.

Fuel consumption combined: 17.0-11.2 l/100 km;
CO2 emissions combined: 397-295 g/km*

Discreet exterior modifications.

An extensive facelift now means that the off-road classic will continue to be in a class of its own. New LED daytime running lamps and new exterior mirrors have only made a subtle alteration to the exterior looks of this luxury off-roader.
The timeless design, almost unchanged since 1979, has made the G-Class a design icon.

Finishing touches to the interior.

The instrument panel and the centre console have been completely revamped, with newly designed controls and generous, exclusive trim elements. This means a new look
for the premium interior fittings. Between the two circular instruments there is now a colour display. Another large colour screen is located in the middle, within easy view from the driver’s seat, and forms part of the standard COMAND Online system with internet access.
Optional safety features include DISTRONIC PLUS, Blind Spot Assist and the PARKTRONIC parking assistance system with reversing camera.

Style-defining details.

In order to preserve the character of the G-Class, some style-defining elements were retained in the interior. For example, the cockpit still has the handle on the front-passenger side and the familiar high-sheen silver switch for the three differential locks placed in the driver’s field of vision, and the newly designed selector lever in the lower central console.
In addition to the high-end interior fittings which come as standard, there are many further individual options available from the exclusive designo programme.

The New Mercedes CLS

Aesthetic Coupé with innovative spatial concept.
Exceptional, confident, masculine and attractive – the design of the CLS Shooting Brake emanates passion and confidence. It is thus an inimitable reflection of the excitingly distinguished lifestyle of those highly discerning customers that have already admitted to their fascination by the four-door CLS Coupé and its internationally acclaimed design.
The CLS Shooting Brake makes no compromises in continuing the pursuit of design and innovation and proves beyond doubt that the Mercedes-Benz claim to leadership is rightly deserved. The unique Shooting Brake merges outstanding design with agility, extended spaciousness and great variability: a CLS of new proportions.

Sensationally different.

The proportions of the CLS Shooting Brake are surprising, though undeniably Coupé, and make the vehicle look as if ready to pounce: the long bonnet, the narrow window line with
frameless side windows, the roof line flowing back dynamically. It takes a second glance to realise that the Shooting Brake features four doors and a large tailgate.

Elegant materials and meticulous craftsmanship.

From the cockpit to the luggage compartment, the interior is distinguished through the highest-quality details, reminiscent of an artisan's opus. Equally distinguishing is the diversity of options for individualisation. The optional designo wooden luggage compartment floor conveys the elegance of a yacht's wooden deck combined with an undercurrent of fascination for technology and precision. Select hand-crafted American Cherry veneers and smoked oak inlays, cut into three-millimetre strips by high-precision lasers, refine the design of the luggage compartment floor. The brushed aluminium strips not only protect the wood's surface but also prevent any luggage from sliding around. Thanks to the electrically opening EASY-PACK tailgate, the 590-litre luggage compartment behind
the rear seats is easy to load. The rear seat backrests, foldable individually or as a whole from the luggage compartment using EASY-PACK Quickfold, provide for high variability and increase the available space up to a volume of 1550 litres.

A vehicle concept of new proportions.

The rear compartment of the CLS Shooting Brake provides space for three passengers and even greater headroom than the CLS Coupé. The outer seats look to be individual seats, with further emphasis available through the optional two-tone leather appointments. Entirely new is the porcelain-colour interior that conveys an air of class previously only ever available in the S-Class. A variety of trim elements are available that either harmoniously match the colour or provide a contrast, such as satin-finish light-brown poplar or the AMG version in carbon/piano black. The innovative use of materials – including the interplay between satin-finish and polished metal surfaces – is yet another aspect which gives the CLS Shooting Brake the status of a design icon.

Innovative technology.

The technology of the CLS Shooting Brake is no less innovative than its design. The optional dynamic full-LED high-performance headlamps not only emphasise the unmistakable appearance of the CLS but fascinate through the daylight-like tone. 95 percent of CLS Coupé customers have already opted for the unique lighting system, which is not yet available in any other vehicle anywhere in the world. Following continuous development, for the first time ever, it now offers CLS customers a combination of LED technology and the Intelligent Light System with Adaptive Highbeam Assist, thereby providing an entirely new quality of illumination at night. In addition, more than a dozen driving assistance systems contribute to the prevention of accidents as well as a reduction in accident severity.
The Driving Assistance package Plus, for instance, is available in combination with DISTRONIC PLUS and PRE-SAFE® Brake. Further features such as ATTENTION ASSIST or Active Parking Assist make driving the Shooting Brake both safe and comfortable.

Sporty driving pleasure with a touch of class.

Air suspension and electromechanical direct steering guarantee comfort and sportiness. Powerful and efficient drive systems merge driving pleasure and agility with environmental responsibility. All petrol and diesel engines come with ECO start/stop, 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission and air-sprung level-controlled rear axle as standard.
The electronically controlled AIRMATIC damper system is available in conjunction with the V8-cylinder engines or as an optional extra elsewhere. Furthermore, two variants with all-wheel drive are available. The CLS Shooting Brake is the alternative for those who wish to distinguish themselves from the mainstream and who wish to travel in style without surrendering either sportiness or luggage capacity.

The New CL-Anniversary edition

Anniversary edition of the luxury coupé.

The features of the CL "Grand Edition" include exclusive designo paintwork, high-quality designo leather appointments and sportily elegant 20-inch wheels. AMG bodystyling elements add a distinctive touch of sportiness, while a special badge indicates the exclusive nature of this anniversary edition of the luxury coupé.

Fuel consumption (combined): 13,8-9,5 l/100 km;
CO2 emissions (combined): 322-224 g/km*

Stunning design and
top-flight technology.
The launch of the sensational 300 S in 1952 established the lineage of today's CL. The large S-Class Coupés from Stuttgart have been considered the epitome of automotive refinement ever since. These two-door luxury-class coupés combine the comfort of a prestige luxury saloon with the dynamics of a sports car in the form of an exceptionally elegant tourer. They offer stunning design, exclusive appointments and top-flight technology.
For its new "Grand Edition" special edition model, Mercedes-Benz has further honed the sophisticated and unmistakable style of this design icon, adding further to its cachet and maintaining the brand's leadership status in the luxury car segment.

The New CLA-Class

With the CLA Mercedes-Benz is not only setting new
standards in terms of design and aerodynamics,
but also forming a completely new segment.

The stylistic rebel.

In spring 2012, at the Auto China show, Mercedes-Benz presented the Concept Style Coupé to an enthusiastic public for the first time as its vision of the new four-door coupé. It had breathtakingly sporty proportions and a muscular, dynamic and progressive design: "The response to the Concept Style Coupé was outstanding. The comment most often heard was: "Please take this car into series production". That is exactly what we are doing," says Dr. Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of Daimler AG and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Cars. Just under one year later this automotive dream has become reality, and is entering series production in practically unchanged form. CLA is the name given to this latest member of the model family, and as a four-door coupé it is founding a totally new segment.
"The CLA is a car that does not confuse medium class with mediocrity. Its muscular design accentuates the sporty side of the Mercedes-Benz brand," Dr. Dieter Zetsche adds.

Family ties.

As the latest member of the family the four-door coupé follows the idea of the CLS, whose concept has been imitated by many others since its debut. With numerous detailed features the designers have shown unmistakably that the CLA is a further design development of the modern Mercedes-Benz classic: the bonnet with powerdomes embedded into the front end, three striking side lines structuring the side view, an athletic rear end and, not least, a gradually descending roofline accentuate the coupé-like character of the CLA. The three side lines extend from the front wheels, over the rear axle and into the tail lights like muscles, giving the profile of the CLA completely new depth and dynamism.

Sporty character.

The progressive, sporty exterior design is reflected in the interior of the CLA. The design idiom that makes the exterior so special combines with carefully selected, high-grade materials to underline the high perceived value. All the trim surfaces are galvanised in silver-shadow, achieving a metallic visual effect with "cool touch". To accentuate the sporty character even further, the CLA has integral seats in both the front and rear. The rear seat unit gives prominence to the outer seats (2+1 seater). Colour-contrasted topstitching is available depending on the appointments chosen. On request the ambience lighting also includes optical fibres in the gap between the head restraints and the seat backrests.

Resistance is futile.

The avantgarde exterior design of the CLA is not only a visual highlight. With a Cd figure of 0.23 for the standard model, the Coupé achieves a new record – both within the Mercedes-Benz family and for all series production cars. This figure is even bettered by the CLA 180 BlueEFFICIENCY Edition, which has a Cd figure of 0.22.
This is achieved by numerous aerodynamic improvements such as the low A-pillar, the aerodynamically optimised exterior mirrors and extensive underbody panelling. The overall result is very good airflow characteristics, which in turn contribute to a low fuel consumption.

Well-equipped for the future.

To suit its sporty appearance of the CLA, Mercedes-Benz has given the latest family member powerful engines developing up to 155 kW (211 hp), the Direct-Steer system as standard, an optional sports suspension and the latest generation of the optional 4MATIC all-wheel drive system. The technical highlights of this new design icon also include numerous driver assistance systems, including a further development of the radar-based COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST, ATTENTION ASSIST drowsiness detection, the well-proven Lane Tracking package with Blind Spot and Lane Keeping Assist and Adaptive Highbeam Assist. The CLA is also very well-equipped for the future: all the petrol models and the top diesel model of the new Mercedes-Benz CLA already meet the Euro 6 emission limits only coming into force in 2014.

Always on.

As the ideal complement to the dynamic design and innovative technology, the latest multimedia systems with numerous new functions round off the overall CLA package. The Digital Drive Style app concept of Daimler, which together with the "Drive Kit Plus for the iPhone®" allows seamless integration of an iPhone® into the vehicle, has been enhanced with e.g. Siri voice-operated control and the real-time positioning system Glympse. Facebook®, Twitter®, internet radio and AUPEO!™ personal radio are also on board, as is the advanced Garmin® navigation system with internet-based real-time traffic information. The multimedia system COMAND Online also has extended functions. The latest generation features an improved, photo-realistic map display, an additional Bluetooth® profile (e.g. to access the internet via an iPhone®), image display in the bmp and png formats, and real-time transfer of traffic data via LIVE TRAFFIC.

The new S-Class

The new S-Class is more than just the sum of breathtaking technical innovations. It is the embodiment of automotive excellence at Mercedes-Benz.

Connected with all the senses.

The S-Class represents the technological pinnacle of automotive development at Mercedes-Benz. With MAGIC BODY CONTROL, the new S-Class is the first vehicle in the world capable of identifying bumps in the road in advance and adjusting the suspension to the situation. In addition, the advanced AIRMATIC air suspension offers even greater comfort with improved vehicle dynamics. Thanks to numerous new assistance systems and significantly enhanced functions in the S-Class, "Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive" fuses comfort and safety. For instance, the BAS PLUS Brake Assist system with Cross-Traffic Assist is, for the first time, able to identify traffic crossing the vehicle's path as well as pedestrians and accordingly boost the driver's braking performance, while the PRE-SAFE® Brake avoids collisions with autonomous braking intervention at speeds of up to 50 km/h.
Moreover, with PRE-SAFE® PLUS, the PRE-SAFE® anticipatory occupant protection system can be upgraded to include safety measures in the event of an impending rear impact.

Modern status, sensual shapes and stylish athletics.

With its large, demonstrably three-dimensional radiator grille, long bonnet and gently sloping tail end, the new S-Class has the proportions of a classic saloon. The size and space requirements were intentionally designed to give the new
S-Class an aura of prestige, while also showing off a sporty coupé-like side with its dynamic roofline. And with its clean architecture, the interior design of the new S-Class embodies a classic saloon, as superior as it is ultra-modern.

Exclusive ambiance
in new dimensions.

The new S-Class combines driving comfort, roominess and ease of operation at the highest level. The perfectly attuned material and colour concept creates an exclusive, sleek interior. For the first time in the history of the S-Class, the long-wheelbase saloon was the focus of development – giving even rear-seat passengers front-row seats. The enhanced seven-colour ambient lighting is a new feature. A re-engineered generation of COMAND Online with intuitive operation makes its world premiere in the new S-Class. Two 12.3-inch high-resolution TFT colour displays make up the new information hub in the S-Class.
The optional Burmester® High-End 3D Surround Sound system provides an unparalleled experience, offering three-dimensional sound in a vehicle for the first time.

The personal note for all the senses.

The new S-Class delights all the senses: a world first, the AIR-BALANCE package with active perfume atomisation offers a new dimension in well-being. Four ambient fragrances are available to choose from, offering an olfactory impression which appears discreetly and softly, then fades quickly and
without a trace. Other components of the completely revised climate control system include ionisation and an even more powerful filtration for superb air quality. Also marking its world premiere in the new S-Class is the armrest heating, in addition to the heating and ventilation of the seats.

Efficient technology.

Compared with the previous generation, the new S-Class consumes up to 20 percent less fuel. All engine versions already meet the Euro 6 emissions standard, and the HYBRID versions also meet the stringent criteria of efficiency classes A and A+. In all models of the new S-Class, weight has been
reduced thanks to lightweight design. It is the first vehicle in the world to rely solely on LED technology, and the optimised aerodynamic resistance is the new benchmark in its segment. Vision accomplished: every aspect of the new S-Class symbolises the Mercedes-Benz commitment to leadership.

The New E-CLASS

Luxury class.

With its sharpened styling, innovative support systems and efficient engines, the new E-Class is setting the standard for the luxury class of today and tomorrow. Both the saloon and estate models of the new E-Class feature a new-look front and a sporty, yet elegant, style. Beneath that sleek exterior lies Intelligent Drive with eleven new or improved support systems from the upcoming world premiere of the S-Class.
The new E-Class is also making waves in terms of efficiency and ecology, thanks to the new powerful BlueDIRECT engines featuring sophisticated direct injection technology.

New design brings
a breath of fresh air.

The front has been completely redesigned with a fresh take on the E-Class's trademark twin headlamps. The functional elements are all concealed discreetly inside the headlamps, and are now available with full LED technology for the first time in this class. As well as the classic three-pointed star on the bonnet, the E-Class is now available with a central star on the radiator grill in the distinctive, sporty AVANTGARDE equipment line. The engine bonnet, the front and rear bumpers and features of the side line have all been reworked, as have the LED rear tail lamps.

Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive.

It began with PRE-SAFE® and evolved with DISTRONIC PLUS, but Mercedes-Benz is now steering towards a new dimension of driving as comfort and safety become one with Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive. A multitude of new or improved systems are making their world premiere in the new E-Class. At the heart of these systems are new ultra-modern sensors, such as the Stereo Multi Purpose Camera. Just like the previous Mono Multi Purpose Camera, this is fitted behind the windscreen, near the rear-view mirror. The difference, however, is that it has two 'eyes' (cameras) providing spatial vision and a full range of 500 metres. That way the stereo camera can capture data, which is then processed by a variety of systems. This means the technology can recognise objects in a wide field of vision and register their movements in spatial terms – whether it's the car in front, oncoming vehicles or those crossing your path, pedestrians and even various traffic signs or road markings.

Innovations from the
pioneers in automotive safety.

The new E-Class features ATTENTION ASSIST as standard, signalling driver inattention and drowsiness across a wider speed range than ever before. It also logs the driving time between breaks to help drivers control their fatigue. COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST is also included as standard in many countries. Additional assistant systems, either new or with significantly refined functions, are also available as optional extras. These include, for example, DISTRONIC PLUS with steer control, BAS PLUS Brake Assist with Cross-Traffic Assist, PRE-SAFE® brakes, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Adaptive Highbeam Assist PLUS and the 360° camera. With its exceptional passive and active safety features, the new E-Class is one of the safest cars in the world.

More performance, less fuel.

The new E-Class is available with an extensive range of powerful yet efficient petrol and diesel engines. All of these feature the ECO start/stop system, making them especially fuel-efficient. New to the range is a four-cylinder petrol engine with direct injection, based on the same groundbreaking technology found in the latest six- and eight-cylinder offerings from Mercedes-Benz. All BlueDIRECT-spark ignition engines combine instant response time and exemplary performance together with maximum efficiency and the best emission performance in their class. The E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID is the latest addition to the extensive range of diesel engines. With a consumption rate of just 4.1 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 107 g/km, the model ranks as one of the best in its class for fuel efficiency.
For a dynamic and efficient driving experience, customers can choose between a six-speed manual transmission with short shift-travel or the 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic gearbox with DIRECT SELECT lever and DIRECT SELECT shift paddles.

Driving safety
and dynamics.

All models in the E-Class family will be fitted with the electromechanical Direct-Steer system as standard. There are four suspension configurations to choose from, including AIRMATIC air suspension with electronically controlled damping system and 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive.
This offers better traction and driving stability, especially in poor road conditions. In every configuration the new E-Class suspension is a match for even the most challenging terrain.

Distinguished and
distinctive interior.

Feel good on the inside: The interior of the new E-Class has also been notably redesigned in harmony with the bold and expressive body. Luxury materials, neatly sectioned surfaces with precise joins and sharp radii accentuate the feel of exceptional quality throughout the vehicle's spacious interior. There are attractive equipment packages available to further enhance the look of your E-Class inside and out. Alongside the standard package, the ELEGANCE and AVANTGARDE equipment lines are also available. And the new E-Class offers a huge range of options, allowing you to customise your vehicle to an extent that has never been possible in this class before. No matter which equipment line you choose, you can opt for any additional features. That way, every vehicle can be individually tailored to the owner.
The harmonious interior is characterised by the new-look centre console and the new multifunction steering wheel.

Cutting-edge technology.

The new E-Class comes with an extensive array of high-grade equipment as standard. One of its exciting new features is HANDS-FREE ACCESS which senses foot movements below the bumper and enables you to open and close the boot without even touching it, taking the hassle out of loading and unloading. With the state-of-the-art infotainment system, you can always keep up to date with the office or current affairs while on the move. It also enables you to listen to your favourite music and has the option of an internet connection and a high-performance satellite navigation. Google™ is just one of the integrated apps, providing a local search engine and weather information. With Google Maps you can even configure a route on your home PC and send it to your car. There are also apps for Google™ Streetview and Google™ Panoramio, plus many more available from Mercedes-Benz Accessories. The new E-Class: state-of-the-art in every way.
